Designing your support

Inclusion works with people and their individual budget to design and if required provide a package of support that meets their needs. We can work with you as little or as much as you require: Planning- we can help you get started by organising either a half or a full day of person centred planning. This would involve you, your family, friends and anyone that is important in your life. We will help you to think about what you want to achieve, who can help you, your likes and dislikes, what kind of person you want to work with (their skills and abilities, their personality, likes and dislikes etc). We will do this in a way that suits you using various person centred planning tools and art work to help record what you say.

Development- once you have a plan we can help you design the support you need to make it happen. Who is going to manage your budget, will it be a provider or someone else? What kinds of things are you going to need to make your plan happen? What paid support you might need, who is going to employ them? What kind of recruitment process do you want and what kind of contracts etc.

What might my support look like? Your budget can be managed by you, someone in your family, a Trust or by Inclusion Glasgow. If you are not sure what you want to do we can help by providing a short term contract whereby we manage the budget on your behalf until you decide what you want to do?

Your team can be directly employed by you or by Inclusion Glasgow. Whichever route you choose the people in your team will be chosen by you. Again we could employ temporary staff on your behalf if you are not sure what you want to do. The people in your team will work flexibly to a rota devised by you, someone in your family, someone on your circle or by a support coordinator. The rota will be structured around your life and what it is you want to do.

Night time support can be provided by technology, by a member of staff or a flat mate.
